grew up in Central Florida and studied piano from an early age. He majored in Music Composition at Florida State University where he also developed an interest in Theatre. After moving to Los Angeles he began writing screenplays and produced his first film “Oversexed Rugsuckers from Mars” on a shoestring budget which gained worldwide distribution and cult status. Subsequent films included “Getting Lucky” “Body Parts” “The Perfect Gift” and the family film “Operation Dalmatian: The Big Adventure.” Michael took a hiatus from filmmaking to raise his daughter while continuing to play keyboards for Circus Flora in St. Louis. During that period he wrote musicals for the stage – some of which were performed in various theatre festivals in New York. A few of those musicals he hopes to one day produce as motion pictures. He returned to indie filmmaking in 2018 with the off-beat romantic comedy “Gam Cam Grrl.”
