Building bridges based on the belief that film becomes art only when its materials are as inexpensive as pencil & paper. Cine Pobre Film Festival is the 100% cartel-free intersection of culture and capabilities.
Jenny Cartwright collaborated to many professional productions in Montreal, Burkina Faso, Mali, Côte d'Ivoire, Israel, Iceland, Sri Lanka and France. Over the years, she's held many titles in the industry, from researcher to assistant-director and video editor. She started shooting, somewhat by accident, her first film as a director - ya wooto (that’s just how it is) - while on a humanitarian mission in Ouagadougou. Used to working with limited resources, it is no coincidence her films are shot in true DIY fashion: Jenny is a punk.
