I like seeing the stories of some illustrated by the scenes of others. I’m explained by what’s inside me—and freed by the essence of what I’m looking at. A film is a tool to detach from the conventional. That’s why I made Water Vapor—to grasp the essence of a flood devastating a small island. Debris and interrupted lives leave behind a scene of chaos. Yet, amidst the ruins, a new perspective emerges—where art, cinema, and poetry redefine destruction.
