Grew up in Sweden of a Finnish mother and a Swedish father. She studied art at Chelsea College of Art in London. After school , she went through a crisis and had to start over with her life. She felt new-born but with a life story. It gives a certain freedom. She started drawing again, and a desire to see things move arrived. The surreal has always been in her drawings . Sometimes she knows exactly why a character / object is surreal sometimes she just do it unbeknown. It is important for Carolina in the creative process, not knowing why she does certain things in the scenes/drawings. Some parts of her work have to start from a feeling and not an intellectual thought. In life lots of things happends without we understand why, she want to show that in her work .
