Building bridges based on the belief that film becomes art only when its materials are as inexpensive as pencil & paper. Cine Pobre Film Festival is the 100% self-funded intersection of culture and capabilities.
born in Portugal, in a small town south of Lisbon. At age 18, I wanted to work in film, but back then, film was a very unsafe career choice in Portugal, so I opted for the safety of IT, having graduated and worked as a Software Developer since.
However, during that period, I had these little voices in my head telling me stories. I tried to shut them down and focus on the work I studied my all life to do, but with time, they grew louder. When I moved to London, those voices were shouting, too loud to ignore, and my journey begun: I decided to learn the craft of screenwriting.
I have directed two other shorts since, and currently in pre-production for my next short, a modern film-noir.
