Md Ashraful Alam, whose pen-name/nickname is Ashraf Shishir, is a National Award Winning Independent Motion Pictures and Film Professional, Script Writer, Poet, Story Writer, Human Rights Activists from Bangladesh. Educated in IT and law, he is the pioneer of the AECB film movement, a platform for the filmmakers to establish alternative show-case for better cinema with more than 20,000 members. He is the founder and festival director of International Open Film Festival (IOFF). He is the jury of several international film festivals like Houston Cinemania Film Festival (Texas, USA),Red Rock Film Festival(Utah, USA), Widescreen Film & Music Festival (Florida, USA), Walur Lake International Film Festival (Kashmir, India). Published four books on literature and film.
