Ramayana; the epic poem ever written by Hindu sage Valmiki which is regarded as the greatest work of ancient Indian literature.

In India, till date, the teachings, the moral values and the ethics of Ramayana is taught to almost every Hindu kid since childhood.

Rama, who is the hero of the Ramayana, and is one of the most popular deities worshipped in the Hindu religion, defeated Ravana, the demon king of Lanka who abducted his wife Sita.

The film has been shot around the time of Dussehra, a very popular Indian festival that celebrates Ram's victory over Ravana and the triumph of good over evil. Ravanayana is the tale of Ravana where he is trying to put across his point of view by questioning people about their moral values and ethics.

People in India celebrate Dussehra with so much joy and excitement and as it is a symbol of victory of good over evil, they claim to follow its learning in their lives too, but are they actually doing it? Or they just pretend to? So Ravana in this documentary is trying to show a mirror to the society, which people haven’t been looking at so far.
