In urban Austin, Texas, JEN, a young Thai man in his early 20s, learns from his young mother, MARLEE, that everything is not what it appears in their family.

The morning that she leaves, Jen frustratingly packs his mother’s bags for her as she hides in the bathroom refusing to come out.

This will be the last time they get to be together before she returns home to Bangkok, Thailand.

They leave for the Austin Bergstrom International Airport and attempt to talk to one another, but conversation comes right back to the elephant in the room.

When Marlee gets to the check-in counter prepared to leave, Jen feels his time with his mother and the life they once knew leaving him.

He gathers himself for the last goodbye.
