10:10 is symbolic of the vicious cycle of violence and the less of humanity.

Through the inhuman actions and the repetitious and continuos violence we inflict upon one another on a daily basis we become desensitized and numb.

Remaining passive to the on going violence we see in the world means the true death of our humanity.

Synopsis The initial inspiration for this film is from a true story.

A man posts an ad in a german newspaper regarding his search for a volunteer who would want to be eaten.

Presumably he gets a positive reply to his ad but what follows we never find out.

While the inspiration of the film has roots in reality, this fiction short film is about a metamorphosis happening right here and everywhere in the world.

Our passivity towards ourselves and each-other leads to the demise of humanity.

More specifically 10:10 is about a lonely individual, living by himself deprived of warmth and human connection.

We witness him preparing his dinner taking great care and pleasure in the process.

He proceeds to eat his dinner in a romantic setting and then go to sleep ( digestion) and defecate in the morning.

Then he becomes the one going through this metamorphosis.

The time 10:10 is relevant in the sense that it is both a universally neutral time and in the film everything stops at this time, when the protagonist starts eating his humanity, and once he is finished the clock starts ticking again. Through the symbolism of individualism ( loneliness), violence ( the general darkness and red tones in the film) we are confronted with several views: our view as the audience, the view of the protagonist and finally the point of view of the victim ( ending the film on this viewpoint).

10:10 is about the blurring border between realism and surrealism through metamorphosis.
