Of Cats, Dogs, Farm Animals and Sashimi

An out of school Subanen boy named Dondon went to Sitio Tangalan in the baranggay of Kawayan, Alicia, Zamboanga Sibugay to work in a rubber plantation.

At tender age, he was already exposed to hardship and toil being a son to a mother who works as a seasonal harvester and has to transfer from farm to farm tagging along her children that resulted Dondon's quitting primary school.

This is a coming of age story; the contractual farm workers saga; the fishers folks way of life and everything in between told in a free flowing manner, yet melancholic.
