Casa Margaritas

Las Margaritas is an intimate protrait of Colombian coffee pickers.

Set in a coffee-ranch in the Quindio run by Orlando and his family.

Main characters include Antonio Jose, Orlando's eccentric 80 year old father and Ihidio, the worker who lives in the house's storage room.

Most of the characters cannot read, all of them have lost family members to the guerilla.

On a surface of what could be hardship remains a slow deep sense of beauty, much like the resilient daisies that surround them. Raphaelle follows them at home and in the fields, investigating their perspective on life.

As the film progresses her connection with the characters increases.

This touching portrait is also a sweet story of connection.
