    Saddam Hussein’s regime justifies as a Holy war against the infidels the looting and the systematic extermination of the Kurdish people.

    From this date onwards, forced deportations, random executions and communal graves become the official operating procedure of Operation ‘Anfal’, which in the Koran signifies ‘booty’, ‘pray of war’. The documentary looks back at the darkest years of the political life of Kurdish Iraq, and aims to bare witness to one of the most recent and lesser known genocides of the 20th Century.
