A unique tribal youth festival celebrated in a separate natural location during the night hours with song of love & dance. It’s about a festival called “Raati Bihu” which is observed by an indigenous tribal group called Moran in India’s north-eastern state Assam & Arunachal Pradesh.
The festival of Moran Bihu starts in the Indian month of Bohag (beginning of spring seasons).
And in between the Raati Bihu is the important part of this festival.
This is not mere a festival of dance and songs but it reflects the characteristics of the tribe which is at the verge of extinction in the 21st century.
The festival portrays the connection of the community with the nature besides their culture, language and religion.
It also narrates the history and the struggles of new generation.
