Roxanne was born in Paris, France, later immigrating to a small village in North wales where she was raised. After a troubled youth she decided to leave her childhood home in search of something that would quench her creative palate. She found solace in painting and writing stories. This later developed into writing film scripts, which never amounted to anything other than a cathartic release. Until Roxanne arrived in Portsmouth, where she was inspired to make her directorial debut with Oedipus and co-found Cad & Bounder Pictures with Dev Crawford.
