Born in Kansas City, Missouri, United States Darren received his MFA in 2016. Asides from his work at Nostos Film Production he is currently working as the Digital Storyteller for the City of Boston and as adjunct faculty at Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Over the past decade he has collaborated with artists such as Rick Ross and Diddy, while also dabbling in commercial work for brands such a Bombay Sapphire and RedBull. He also maintains a gallery practice that explores race and gender politics using paint, sound, and interactive video installations.
