From an end (Capo Grecale) to another (Capo Ponente), it’s a journey through Lampedusa, the southernmost island of Italy, catching its wonderful landscapes and its multi-faceted aspects that for centuries have made it a crossroad for different people and different cultures, among problems, contradictions and potentialities.

The analysis, sometimes an Utopia, aims to demonstrate that the migratory flows from North Africa that afflicts Lampedusa is not only a sign of invasion, as often pictured by mass media, but an evidence of cultural and human enrichment in a place that has always been and can continue to be a land of salvation.
