The film covers a tradition called Taiyyam, as old as time itself.
Featuring three asura / powerful nature deities connected to Shiva, the documentary attempts a modern day interpretation of its message philosophically through the looking glass of mythology to ultimately bring on film its social relevance today.
Taiyyam is the arrival of Asura Gods on earth that perform to heart numbing drum beats and narrate ancient stories and folklore retold over thousands of years.
Social change is a constant in their narration, the Gods dance divinely observing and mocking social constructs, guarding an ages old practice to ensure stories of the shunned live on and are essayed for times to time.
