28.12.2012, in the Day of the Holy innocents of Bethlehem, the president of Russia Putin signed a law ?272-FZ, which effectively prohibited American and other foreign families from adopting Russian orphans. The law of "Herod the Baby Killer", as it is called in Russia, has led to growing suicide rates among orphaned children.

It has condemned untold numbers of orphans across the country to living in orphanages.

It has killed one disabled baby who was about to be adopted by U.S.

citizens. But this story is not about politics.This story about some russian orphans in the New Year's Day in the countryside.

Some kind women found children who have been abandoned by their parents.

One of these women writes letters for children purporting to be from their parents.

That's all she can do to help these children.... Children playing in this film are staying in orphan homes for many years.
